A lot of people are asking how should I get out of debt these days. Truth is, it depends. Sounds like you only have a few credit cards? How much is it that you owe, what are your interest rates and are you current or past due?

Depends as well on your current financial situation.  The more significant the debt, the harder it will be to get out of it.

Adelia, it would help both of us better to tell you how to get out of debt if you'd tell us more about your current situation.

If your debts have gone delinquent, one good option to get them taken care of is thru a debt settlement. You will only be paying a particular percentage of that amount and it may take a year or so before it would be settled completely.

"How should I get out of debt if I owe on credit card and taxes"For your credit card debts, if it's less than $10,000 and you really just want to be able to pay down the principle amount - without the interests getting in the way - you might want to try credit counseling. If however, your account is already past due and the total balance is over $10,000, you can try debt settlement.
