How much would the bankruptcy lawyer fees be?

This is just a rough estimate..you may want to consult or shop around different companies to be sure.
Okay, I'm not sure if it varies per company (lawyer fees), but I think it starts at $900 for Chapter 7, plus $65 for credit counseling, and $299 filing fee. Depending on the complexity of the case it can reach up to $2000-$3500.
The average cost for Chapter 13 is $2,800-$3,000(?) but since it's part of the repayment plan, the consumer can pay from $400-$700 down payment and the rest through what they call a wage order.

The credit counseling fees too varies I think..isn't it just $50?

Yes I think it varies, only the filing fees are standard, as they are set by the court. The rest are private companies (credit counseling agencies and law firm/lawyer services).
It might interest you though that those fees mentioned are for full lawyer service. If you can't afford them, you could always ask for a bundled service, in which you can be advised by a lawyer, or counseled, but not represented. As for the papers and documents you can hire the services of a Bankruptcy Petition Preparer or a para-legal, and then you can represent yourself.
That would cost you less..but don't risk it I guess.

Whether or not you are in Texas, one way of avoiding having to ask how much bankruptcy costs is to see if you can do credit counseling or debt settlement instead.

Credit counseling is non-profit but their Debt Management Plan would cost around $25/mo. after the one time set up fee.
Debt settlement companies would charge 15% of your total debt amount -spread over 18 months or they will take between 20-25% of the settlement amount.
