No there's no such thing I'm afraid. It's just one of those misleading advertisements to attract enrollment in their program (credit counseling agencies or any other debt relief companies). Or it could be a scam. Be careful and remember that the government does not offer grants for private individuals to pay their bills.

Grants for credit card debt relief..the whole phrase is even incorrectly positioned. If it is a valid government project, it would at least be, grammatically correct. It should be something like: Federal Grant and Debt relief for Credit Card Users...but even that, is not to exist, because a functioning, normal, and private consumer is expected to have the ability to pay his own debt.

Grants for credit card debt reliefA quick definition of terms:Grants- any monetary aid
Credit card debt - when you have been missing payments the amount accumulate plus it incurs interest
Credit Card relief - is probably when you've stopped using credit cards in favor of cash
Debt relief - is usually either a program or a company that deals with debt elimination. So you see if we put them all together, they're not going to make sense. There is however, what is called the Credit Card Accountability, Responsibility and Disclosure Act of 2009. It's not a grant, it's a law against some unfair creditor practices.

Speaking of government grants, or rather aid, if you are a senior citizen, insolvent (or going through a hardship), disabled, part of a minority, a single mother--I think there is something for you from the government. But I do believe that you would have to produce proof that you are indeed any of those..If you want to know more about debt relief solutions, feel free to fill out one of the forms on this site and speak with a debt consultant for free.

Just to add to that, there are privately funded grants, but they are condition specific. Many companies and individuals donate to these centers or companies to avail of the tax benefits.

There are no specific grants targeted towards credit card repayment, but what one can do is be creative and maximize the resources they have available. One way for you to pay your debt using a government grant is to apply for a small business grant, and then use the profits from that small business to pay off your debts. It may take some time before the bills can be paid but at least it proves that you can actually be resourceful and make ways in paying off your debts.
