Oh sorry about that, and I think it is best if you ask your parents to come visit these forums, fill out one of the forms around, and speak with a debt consultant for free. I'm sure they'd know more about your grandmother's financial situation.
As for her living alone, does she have a spare room in her home that she can rent out? That would give her extra income. Also you can maybe help her set up a garage sale or a fund raiser.
