Their other business name is First Choice Debt Relief, and are accredited with The Association of Settlement Companies. Now the latter organization carries stringent standards in the settlement industry, so with them being a part of this means it's pretty good.

They have a D- rating with the BBB, not so much because of complaints but because the company's length of operation is pretty short, at least according to the bureau's standards (They started operations in January 2008). Just so you know, the BBB uses a 36-month period as a standard--or, as I see it, an ideal--length of time for a business to run. But I might be wrong.

Talk to the people at Everest Debt Solutions... I talked with FCDR and ADRS and they both seemed fishy.  Everest clearly stands out from both of them.

Wake up People. Debt Settlement is a SCAM. Try Bankruptcy, it is a right given to you by Congress and is Extremely Effective and Affordable. See what CNBC and their experts have to say about debt settlement:  There is a video called "Consumer Alert - The Debt Settlement Scam" that shows what even the most "Legit" companies do to you... http://www.cnbc.com/id/28265471/

That is a sweeping generalization George. Having worked in the industry I can tell you that debt settlement has helped many become debt free. While there are companies out there who do not have their clients' best interests in mind- show me an industry that doesn't have that problem. And it is always funny when I see CNBC and CNN reporting on this matter. For example, CNN had an article suggesting credit counseling was a much better option for anybody in debt no matter what the circumstances were. They told this story about a woman who signed up with such an agency trying to promote that industry. And then, at the bottom of the article in a very small paragraph, they mentioned how she had to drop out of the credit counseling program because she could no longer afford the payments, and ended up right back where she started. And it gets even better- now CNN is advertsising a debt settlement company right on their homepage. Conflict of interests? The reality is whoever pays the most to get some attention gets the backing from these media outlets. The real bottom line is this- the best option for becoming debt free depends on your situation- how much you owe, what you can afford and what resources you have available to put towards your debt. For some, it is credit counseling. For others it is debt settlement. And for others, filing bankruptcy may be the only realistic option. Do your homework and make sure the company is reputable if you are trying to avoid bankruptcy (as you should try to do considering the negative repercussions). Don't believe everything you read- think about who is in the pockets of whom when it comes to media attention.

So how could you talk with both of them?Ever heard of a DBA? Ever been to Disneyland? Or should they Call it Walt Disney Company, INC? Get it!!!!All I'm trying to prove is clearly your from this company called Everest... Let people make decisions based on some facts, if you know what a fact is

Speaking of American debt relief services, I already saw debt settlement up there, there's also credit counseling (Debt Management Plan). There indeed are scam groups out there so the consumer is advised to do his/her homework and check the companies credentials with the Better Business Bureau before signing up.
