Has Anybody Heard Of Federal Debt Settlement?

Has anybody heard of a debt settlement company that was able to reduce a consumer's debt by 70-80%? Just curious. If yes, who are the consumer's creditors? And how much was the total amount of debt..
Anyway, the consumer may also opt to negotiate his/her debt with the creditors..but the debt settlement companies would know which creditors are easy to work with and which ones play hard ball.

The federal government does not offer grants or settlements on personal debts..it doesn't even have help or any bail out package for small businesses.

Is it Federal Debt Settlement or National Debt Settlement? Because no such company "Federal Debt Settlement" exists...

Federal Debt Settlement and National Debt Settlement do not have BBB listings nor are members of the Bureau.
