I don't think they would like to be listed and i don't really want to list them.

none of them has had me sign anything saying i owe them money.

I really don't want to list anything on paper saying i owe them money.

You may want to fill out a form on DestroyDebt.Com to get a free consultation from a debt specialist to see what your bankruptcy alternatives may be.

Filing bankruptcy has serious long term negative effects on your credit report that you should try and avoid if at all possible. For example, if you file Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy, it stays on your credit report for 10 and 7 years respectively, and both stay on your public records for 20 years.

List them on what? Although Tom Ace probably guessed it correctly, on your mailing matrix you mean?

It is to your advantage to list them all down so the debts would all be discharged in your bankruptcy petition. Otherwise, they might come after you someday (with an evidence unknown to you) and demand full payment.

Then may I suggest that you just pay off what you owe them? Or are you saying that you don't want to pay them because you are convinced that you don't owe them anything?

If that's the case, and if you are filing bankruptcy and not include them in your list, then expect them to haunt you someday. Bankruptcy actually protects you from post-discharge issues.

Also, if ever you've decided to include your friends in the mailing matrix, it's not like the trustee of your case would pay them just like that--they actually would have to file a claim to that payment first.

Including them in the list makes you a responsible person. It's like telling them that I don't want to have anything to do with you after paying off what I supposedly owe you. That is assuming that you really are not in good terms with them.

Is your issue regarding the records? Then I agree with Paladin, just pay them off then..
