Prestige Financial is an accredited member of the TASC, or The Association of Settlement Companies. Now TASC is a regulatory agency specifically geared towards debt settlement companies and they advocate good practice in the debt settlement, and encourage their member companies to deliver high quality in their services.

Just some tips:The Prestige people charge 15% of the total debt amount as their set-up fee, which is the typical amount most debt settlement companies charge their clients. One interesting thing abt this company however is the monthly fees they charge on top of the set-up fee. Clients are charged with $30 for what are called "maintenance fees" and $8.75 in banking charges. They're a little more pricey than the average debt settlement company, that's for sure

The company also has an A- rating with the Better Business Bureau. They have received one complaint in the last thirty-six months with regard to customer service issues, and Prestige Financial Solutions has made a way to resolve the concern. The accreditation mentioned above is in itself already considered a good thing, too.

NOT a good idea. I was with Prestige Financial Solutions for less than 1 year and already two creditors served me with papers to go to court to settle small debts (between 2,000 - 2,200 each). When I told them this, they gave me excuses and said that they were unable to give any advice in the matter. All the money I had paid them, around 500. monthly, was not reimbursable due to the fact that for the first year or so the money is tiered to cover interest and their fees, not principal. Have no doubts, the creditors can and will pursue you for their money regardless of whether you have signed up with a debt resolution company or not. It is in the creditors' best interests to go after you in court and garnish your wages for all the interest and fees that accumulate.
