Hello has anybody here read or heard of John Cummuta's Debt Free and Prosperous Living system? What was it all about? What did you think of it? Is it worth buying? Thanks!

I haven't but I've read reviews and they're basically saying that the program is about avoiding the trap of thinking in monthly payments, that you'll be able to wipe out all of your debt (including the unsecured ones) within five to seven years, and that it also talks about how to invest your money wisely.

Me too, I actually have not purchased it yet because of the reviews. Some say that you don't have to buy the tapes, just use your common sense. According to a review: with the debt free and prosperous living program you can pay-off your home, credit cards, car loans and other debts the slow, old-fashioned way--

Although those last two descriptions: slow and old-fashioned made the system sound credible...you know how how some experts warn you of the words "quick and easy.."

The system also used the tag: Uncover The Truth About Complete Debt Elimination, Using Only The Money You Already Earn And Not A Penny More!

I'm looking for something that sounds dodgy...I can't seem to find one..

How about this ispydebt:

It says that it would teach you "who is teaching you about money and finances and why you should never trust them."

My question is who is "them?"

It would also teach you "how and why you have been lied to and cheated by a system designed to keep you enslaved."

I have friends who are into conspiracy theories--and those sound like they're from my friend's circle..

Here's more:

"How to stop inviting the government and bug business to loot and sack your earning potential."

"How to thumb your nose at the credit bureaus, their prying question, and their impersonal credit score ratings.
"

Well the review used strong accusatory words, which sounds to me more of an aggressive sales pitch, rather than lines that a scammer would use...although I heard that Johh Cummuta claimed to be a Christian...

That doesn't really sit well with me. Money and Christianity put together sound...like a miracle crusade...and the word "miracle" and debt do not mix well.

Okay, if I search in the BBB to find out if John Commuta and his system are legitimate...what company name am I going to search for?

That's the thing, John Cummuta's Debt Free and Prosperous Living is more like a product than a business entity, so you won't find him in the BBB. I think his system is much like a diet program. It works for some, it won't work for the others.

It says in some of the reviews that it's all about using cash instead of the credit card. It also says that after eliminating your debt in 5 to 7 years, you can then begin investing in your dream of a prosperous life.

I really do not have strong opinions regarding his work, as I haven't yet read the book or seen the workbook or heard the tapes, but I think that most of his  basic debt elimination concepts are to be found in these threads too.

I am curious as to what debt relief options should i go for. It seems to be that this program does not offer the relief I am searching for--I mean i also have heard of this, and i am thankful i was able to read thru your inputs on the matter. But how do you suggest i take care of my debts? Any ideas?

You can either settle your debt or hire the services of a credit counselor. Both options are better alternatives to bankruptcy, as the latter has long-term effects on your credit report.

If you want to know more about how debt relief can help you, feel free to fill out a form of DestroyDebt.Com and you'll be matched with a qualified provider. It's free, too, so it won't hurt!
