I wonder if the creditors/collection agencies/collection attorneys are more forgiving of pregnant women in debt...

In the U.K. they have what they call the Maternity Allowance for pregnant women in debt..

Most employed consumers, not just pregnant women in debt (in the UK) have a maternity allowance heartbreak.

I think that the consumer who's in debt and pregnant should take advantage of her condition and negotiate. She'd probably get support somehow. In the mean time, if money is tight, if she has subscription to services that are not part of the basic needs - she should get rid of them. If the story behind the pregnancy is not teeming with controversial issues, perhaps she can run to family and friends for support.

A pregnant women, people should understand, are probably in her highest state of hormonal imbalance...and that would affect her decision making.
