This is the most important insurance one should have. One of my family member got a major surgery recently with a cost of around $6000 and with the help of this insurance, we only paid 30% of that, so its already a great savings.

Those people employed were lucky enough as they were being paid by their employers and they were able to enjoy the maximum benefits. But how about those belong in the lower class, how can they avail of this?

As far as I know there is a government health insurance agencies that provide health insurance plan for lower class people. But, they also need to pay a minimum fee of $2 (depends on what country) a month and the benefits differ from sickness to sickness and what type of hospital you are in to.
Better read all the terms and conditions of the policy before taking it. Dont be lazy in these matters and dont trust agents solely.
This is a great advise. Read all the terms and conditions this does not only applies to health insurances. This applies to anything we invest our hard earned money. We dont just pick money on the floor.

Health or medical insurance is a must. We can never tell when ailment strikes. This serves as a buffer to mitigate possible financial dislocation because of high hospital bills.

I go for a family health insurance which covers family members. If the coverage is just for yourself, you still have not plugged the hole. Without the health or medical insurance coverage, you still have to spend substantially in case one the family members gets sick.

Affordable health insurance is not available in the US unless you are young, healthy, and single. Legally, when you lose a job, the company must allow you to continue in the group plan for a specified period, at your expense. When that happened to me in 2002, my cost as a single person was $275 per month. My monthly unemployment income was $1100. The monthly cost for a family plan was $879. And that's the cheap group rate. If you have a chronic health problem, you usually can't get insurance or must pay an astronomical amount for it. Sometimes it excludes anything related to the health problem or that could be aggravated by the health problem.

Medical insurance is always a supportive for everyone life. It is more essential than any other insurance and a mandatory one and should be adopted in everyones life. Last month my friend had a horrible accident and recovered very well with some best treatment. And also he is asked to pay only 20% of his treatment and thus medical insurance helps us at right time.  .
