Investing in Housing
Anyone ever try investing in housing and fix the place up and then sell it for more? I know in some areas of the country it can work and people can make a lot of money.
The way the housing market is going it's not a good investment.. The economy is on the downside for years to come..
You can really get burned doing this. The housing market can turn on you in just the time it takes to fix up a place. If you have a backup plan to rent the house out, and don't have too much invested, you could do well. To start, buy a house and live in it while you fix it up. Then at least you have a roof over your head.
And expect to go 50% over a reasonable budget. You really have to do your numbers here.
I've always wanted to do this. I'm saving up my money to invest. Hopefully I'll have a good plan going within the next couple of years.
I think this is sooo complicated. I watch those fix up shows and I'm interested, but I don't think I could ever do it. :o
I've watched the ones about flipping houses, and even the pros get caught out with sudden changes in the market or huge unexpected problems with the house or apartment.

Be careful when doing it.. This business is like a doubled edge sword..
If you're in England or Wales then you need to be aware of the impact that the introduction of Home Information Packs on 1st June could have.
That a good idea, because there is no chance of loss in this type of investment. Even a small housing investment would lead to a big profit for our effort. One of my friend was being doing this kind of jobs and he has been profited very well from this business and surely me too going to start pursuing this offer very soon after the studies.
