PrettyLara, it's really as simple as creating a budget plan. Simply list down all your monthly expenses for food, books, rent, gas (if you drive), utilities, and other categories that you can think of. Set specific amounts for each of these, and make sure to stick to your budget. You try to allocate a certain amount for each category and place this amount into a properly labelled envelope for you to keep track of your dues. It also helps you to splurge less ;)Making a packed lunch can also help you cut down on food expenses :) Try also to get a part-time job in order to help with the other things that you need to take care of, like your student loan.

Income - Expenses (necessary) = Disposable Income. I would suggest saving 10% of your disposable income if you can. Whatever is left over, you can spend how you please. That way, you know you can pay all of your bills, have some fun while you are in school and still save a little!
