Posted on May 20, 2009 at 2:02 pm I have a relative who needs to find a good bankruptcy attorney to discuss what her options are for her financial issues. She lives in Illinois and I do not so I can't really provide her direct assistance to find one. Any suggestions?

Posted on May 20, 2009 at 2:10 pm Qbama- Are you positive that your relative needs to file bankruptcy to get relief for her financial problems? Has she considered credit counseling or debt settlement as an alternative already? I only say that because of the negative reprecussions that are associated with filing bankruptcy. I do not know how to go about finding an attorney in Illinois but if you told me a little bit about her situation I could make some suggestions in regards to what her best options may be. Also, I know you could also fill out a form on this website to get a free consultation, you may want to think about doing that as well just so you can hear about all of the choices before you and your relative make a decision.

Posted on May 20, 2009 at 11:20 pm I'm from Illinois - I see commercials all the time for bankruptcy attorneys from Peter Francis Geraci.  I've read a lot of bad press about them though on other forums....some former clients feel that they lacked personal attention, which caused a lot of problems for their bankruptcy filing.
