i keep getting debt collectors calling me.how can i stop them? awhile back someone told me about a web site that will stop calls.anyone know?

All you have to do is send a cease and desist letter (send a copy to the credit agencies as well) certified return reciept. Read up on Fair Debt Practices Act. You can even find tons of sample letters online.

BTW one of the things is the collections agencies don't have any kind of debt to settle with you. They will basically stop if you send the correct letters. If there is any kind of debt to settle its with the original lender NOT the collection agency.

Not necessarily. One of my creditors gets paid extra (more than the minimum) each month from TCA but they are not exactly on the same schedule any more. Good thing one of the terms they are under is they can't report me and no fees. There is an overlap of a few days each month where they keep calling me sometimes ten times a day. On Friday they called my work. Cease and desist is going in the mail.
