Would you risk yourself logging into your private accounts like email , paypal , etc from a public computer given the risk of your password may be stolen ?

No. I only log in to any site from a computer that I know is safe. I would use the net for research from a public computer, but I would not chance my personal information. There are just too many ways for people to gain personal information these days.
