I haven't tried it yet but I think it works for my friend. She has this wallet which has layers of pockets in it. Each pocket represents each the bills or expenses for the month, such as home/rent, utilities, savings, education, and etc in advance. She said that everytime you receive your pay for a month, you set aside the payments for those bills and also set some aside for savings and education of your children. In that way, you can't forget whatever it is you need to pay and you try to live on what is left of it. She said that it has helped her budget everything so that she doesn't need to worry about where to get the money to pay for those bills because she has already set them aside. She has also learned how to live strictly on how much money she has. What do you think? Will you try it? Tell me if it works!

I do something similar, but not quite the same. I put the bill money in one part of my purse, money I am trying to sae in another, and money to spend on groceries and gas in a third part. This works for me. I have never forgotten where the bill money is because I pay those pretty quick, but I have forgotten about the rest of the money and ended up saving more.

I never thought of keeping like that.I keep all the money in one wallet and pay whever needed. It seems a good idea.
