I feel the bank deposit is best savings and safe.  Many feel the investment is stock market is best and more rewarding.  If you want to really invest in Stock Market and not much experienced in stocks and shares then you can select the mutual fund route, because they have best and experience staff to analyse about the good stocks and will get more returns.  Please discuss about your suggestins

In this economy, I prefer to go with bonds, because they gain more traction during a bear market, and in this market many companies as well as states are floating bonds as an alternative investment.

I think bank accounts are the best form of savings and the other option is buying gold, which has been steadily going up, and will continue to do so..

depends on how much money you have accumulated. If its not exceeding what the bank has been offering for an ATM, then a savings account is preffered. If its too big then they will offer you suggestions on where to put it better like dollar account or so.Investing is another way. I prefer this if I have really a huge amount of money because when you invest, you actually try to double your money.

I prefer to save into fixed deposit since the earning is better than saving account. Mutual fund, is also another good alternative ways for saving.

Make fixed deposit in bank as you are getting a nice interest and forget everything.

Setup an account with an online bank that offers a high yeild savings account. Find one that offers a 2% apy or better. Most brick and mortar banks offer less than 1%.

Yup, i agree with you on that. And for those of us that are earning online and the earnings are directed to paypal...don't transfer to your bank account just yet...Whoknows you might be tempted to just swipe that ATM card of yours on something you wanted
