You will have to get credit reports from each credit bureau. Then you will find the items you want to dispute. Transunion offers this online, while others you will have to dispute other ways.

Where are you exactly located? There is no such thing here in our country. If you have can do it why ask for another help and that can only leave you indebted..in the future. Have you called them already and ask to remove your name on their list?

I have a few charge-offs. On my CBR the debts are listed twice. First with the original credit grantor. They are listed again, exact debts, same amounts, sometimes with a different "account" number, by the debt buyer. In one case, it's NCO who was the debt buyer.I filed a dispute with 2 of the major credit bureaus. Only one account was corrected. I know that a delinquent acct stays on your CBR for 7 years from the date of the last payment. I'm literally half way through that time frame now and planning on waiting it out. The problem is, the debt buyers have extended this time on me because of the duplicate accounts. How can I fix this? Email me: perfectpintshoppe AT yahoo.com.

Hello Cableman, Moneymom is right. Best thing to do is resolve the issues yourself. Most credit repair companies will not be able to do much beside charge you standard upfront fees. First get a copy of your credit report, you can get a free one at : annualcreditreports.com Order a standard tri-merge ( all three agency's) Once you determine which accounts you want to dispute, contact each of those creditors where you can send them whatever proof you have that it has been resolved. Ask them to fax you a letter confirming that account has been resolved, paid or closed. Next send this letter over to your credit reporting bureau, and request that they remove them having proof that it has been resolved. This usually takes about 3 months to clear off your credit report. Which is about standard. And that's about it... Nothing else really too it and any credit repair telling you different is not being upfront about their services. Sure it's a bit of a hassle but it's easily to do and saves you money. Sincerely, Michael Deng
