I typically stock up on items that are on sale and I have coupons for. Often I can get things like toothpaste for free. Even if it means a few trips to the grocery store to use up the coupons and get the deal, it's worth it!

This is usually what i do..especially on things like toothpaste, toilet paper and shampoo. Those are things you always need. I also like to buy these things in bulk.

I try to stock up when the items are not only one sale, but when I also have a coupon to go along with the sale. Today, I paid $3 for two bottles of laundry soap. The bottles were 29 load size bottles, and since we only use half the normal amount of soap in our machine, that soap will last us a while. I would have picked up more had I had the money to do so.

I also like to visit the freebie sites and get them stocked up on the samples for rainy days

i agree...buy in more during sales and keep them..especially for items that can last a few years or more..
