My point of view is you can look for a legal advisor for better result. It will more reliable for your position and easier too..

your post has shown me how debt can grow very quickly and if you are not carefull it can spring up on you and destroy your life, thanks for sharing this has helped me think about how i can watch my debt and manage it more carefully.

I think the reason is that one does not have see actually how much money he is spending
so one goes into debt

when money is mere numbers .. it affect less to our perception .. hard cash is what our mind thinks as money mainly ... so just tweaking of numbers aren't enf to make us aware of the cost

As for myself, not paying on tiem for my bills plus overspending. Im trying to get on top my finances again by not going to the mall.

I think Impulse buying and overspending is the main reason for credit card debt.

Spending on things that you love it and not need it.
Poor money management
Lousy budgeting
These are the top 3 reason for credit card debt.. AT least to me.

Credit cards are easy to overspend because it is only  plastic unlike cash. Just swap it in the machine and it is done.
