for me both can be done simultaneously, right now I'm doing it, saving money and investing some money to earn and save it. It is just like recycling but you must be good in handling it, if not the it will lead to bankruptcy and debt.

Both i think. We need to have both. Investments make money grow faster and bank savings make sure that we have cash in hand when in need..

I think when someone invests, they need to pay attention to market conditions. Whereas someone who saves, can do it anytime they want to.
