I don't mean literally poor. I know a lot of people especially the elderly who still depends on their small amount of pension or the money that their children will give them. Most of their pension goes for their medications. There are only a few who are living wellSo back to the question: What are some reasons why most of us are poor?

some of us are poor because we lost our jobs but are still working to further our education, like myself. Others get laid off of jobs that they had worked very hard at, others get new medical problems....there are tons of legitimate reasons

Well, other people get poor because the spend a lot than they earn. Other people are not so lucky to have a good job with a decent payment, this people have to do an extra work if they want to live in better condition. There's many successful people that start their career from the bottom and they were a poor people in their past, but with a hard work they can achieve a better life. We should follow this people example, if we want to have a better life.Nothing is impossible.

OnTopic: for me, poor saving habits is one reason. most of the time, we have already allocated the money (and even the bonus) we are just about to receive to pay some bills or to buy some new things instead of planning to save or invest it.

some people are poor because of the selfishness and greediness of the other people. the situation become poorer because many people dont have a stable job either.

Maybe we didn't make use of our brain to work harder to find ways to earn more money. We all did not ask to be poor so we should learn to be thrifty and work hard to earn money and let the money we earned work for us. This is the only we can make ourselves rich. Work smart.

many of us in our youth do not do up any budget or financial planning.we tend to overspend than we save.we never plan for our future.that is why.

the reason is inequality in money some are very rich , some are poor, the rich must help the poor.
