It depends on who your credit card issuer is.I have a credit card account with Bank of America.  Until I asked them to stop raising my limits, they would review my payment history and credit report and automatically raise my limit every few months.  Another bank I'm with requires me to make a request for my limit to be raised before they'll even consider it.You should be able to contact your credit card issuer and request that your limit be raised regardless of who you're with.  If you've been paying on time, have a good credit score, and you have the income to support it, they should have no problems with giving you a higher limit.  Be careful, though--carrying balances that are too close to your card's limit can hurt your credit score!

maybe they'd increase your credit limit if you always pay on or before the due date.

You can approach your bank to find out more about this. Your increased earnings and investments also help to increase your credit card limit.

you can increase your credit limit if you change the plan of your card and that depends if the bank will approve your request. if you do have a nice background in paying and if your income is really high then for sure you will be accepted.ps. some people i know, they apply and get a lot of credit cards from most of the banks here with low limits. in that they can increase their limit per card. i hope you get what i mean but this is not suggested if you ask me. you just have to live within or below your means and having lots of credit cards will just leave you into bankruptcy esp if  you dont have the right income.
