What is a free credit analyzer?

It's probably one of those professional credit analysis businesses that review the consumer's credit report and determines which items in it can be/should be removed to improve the credit score.

Is it really free? You said "professional" I'm having a hard time connecting that withthe term free of charge. Also, can the consumer do a d.i.y. credit analysis/repair?

I think it's just an advertising lure. Of course the consumer is bound to pay for that service.Anyway, to answer your question, can the consumer do a diy credit repair, YES.How? By obtaining a copy of their credit report and looking for items that are in error and then request for an investigation. It is important for the consumer to have supporting paperwork to be sent via certified mail. The credit reporting bureaus are obligated to investigate a request and if an error has been proven - obligated to change and send the consumer an updated copy of the report.

I agree and to add to that, it may help if the consumer contacts their creditor and inform them of this move - so by the time the reporting bureaus call them to verify, they'd be prepared.
