Of course it is, you work for nothing, you have to give everything you have made to bill collectors. That is why there are so many of us online trying to make a few extra bucks.

We are all in the same boat and struggling and we all may feel like we are working or overworking at times but I don't think it to be like slavery because that would be too negative of a way of looking at it.

It feels like it sometimes. You slave away at work and end up getting nothing because all the money goes to paying off your debts. But sometimes we only have ourselves to blame for getting in that situation in the first place.

Absolutely slavery. You are working everyday just to clear your debts. Its like working for your debt.I wonder.... is clearing your debt a motivation?

yes it is some form of slavery. We are also slaves to our desires, wants, and pleasures. We enslave ourselves and we choose our own prison. hehehe

oh yeah debt feels like your a slave. Because you are... you have to get out of debt somehow so you have to do what it takes to get there!

Yes I agree and if you are taking it too seriously then it could also become a mental burden. I think we should try to find a way to come out of debt rather than getting trapped in the thoughts of clearing debt as something next to impossible.
