I should have started budget billing when we moved in almost six years ago. Our electric bill during the summer is well over $150 some months, but during the fall/winter it's barely $85. I guess we would have ended up paying somwhere in between. Some months I feel like we are saving so much money on electricity, and then the next month we hit a spell of really hot weather and the bill spikes. Budget billing would even out some of the rough spots!

I think I will check it out. Finances have been so crazy for the past five years or so, money really got away from me. I didn't know where my money was going. But now I'm being more mindful of things. Every dollar counts.

i do budget billing services especially in my electricity and water. I make it point that the amount paid on the previous month is almost the same at the present bills.

Budget bililng is a service offered by some companies such as your electricity provider. They average your bills over a years time and charge you the average amount. That way you pay the same amount every month. This provides a convenient way to know what you will be paying from one month to the next. In some places, the cost of electricity, water, etc. goes up (or down) based on the time of year and that causes unexpected spikes in the monthly bill.Budget billing helps even out the bills so you can budget for the same amount every month and not fall behind. On months when the bill would ordinarily spike to $200, you still pay the lower budget bill amount. No surprises! That's a good thing for your budget and savings.

We don't have such service in our electric provider in the Philippines. I guess because we have tropical weather here which can not cause sharp changes in our consumption.
