Do not let them scare you. It is just a collection scare tactics. Just shrug it off. They cannot do anything but scare you.

Maybe you can't blame them.. especially if they are desperate enough & amount involve is really a huge one.. It is also embarrassing on our part having a family member that gives shame..

There are fair debt collection practices that collectors have to follow. Any harassment from debt collectors is prohibited. I would probably ask the collector for his name and the name of the company he works for, then ask him to leave my property before I report him to the state Attorney General's office.I've actually been called by debt collectors a few times. They were all looking for the wife of a family friend. As soon as I told them that I was not her and I was unable to contact her, that was it. They thanked me for my time and removed my number from whatever files they had. I don't think they can legally say
anything about a debt to anyone but the person who owes it.

t is their style to collect money from the debtors. they were very desperate when it comes to collecting because that is the only way they can earn from their job. their daily allowance is not enough for their daily expenses.i think it

You really don't have anything to be worried about if it's not true. It's not like they can manhandle you or anything. Just tell them you don't know and be done with it. But if they start harrassing you about it, threaten to call the police on them. They don't have any rights to do that.
