There are just those that don't care much about financial statements and they leave it off on bank employees which is wrong. You should be aware with it yourself.

Make sure that they dont share your personal info with other people and check your bills and statements on a monthly basis. Make sure they dont fall into wrong hands.

they better make sure the agency does not give their info to 3rd party. Many do in this business.
If worst comes to worse, maybe pay for an audit to be carried out to see where unexplainable behaviour is coming from. Allowing the people to get rid of the source.
It's good to check your credit card bills periodically to see if there's something suspicious. Don't only look at the total.
I make a habit of looking at my credit report every year. That way I know if there's something on there that shouldn't be.
I don't keep track of everything as good as I should. I have a debit card, and I have online banking, but I don't sit and write down how much I have left after each purchase.
