Well I wasn't sure where to put this, but I thought that this was a good a place as any. If the moderators can think of a better place then by all means place it there. I'm sure this topic has been overdone as well but as it's a serious topic I felt that people would want to be informed on it again, who knows maybe i've brought some new info to the table. Anyway, enjoy and comment on how you felt the article helped youhttp://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18155301/

This information I have beleived for a long time - that is why with any debts - I take them directly to the place I had the debt at - regardless of if it was in "collections" they will not refuse money! Plus, a lot of "debt relief" places take a percentage of what you send them and that money could have went towards your initial debt -- but instead went to someone else! Do it this way and you will have your debts paid off faster. I dont even talk to the companies about "Payment arrangements" I call, ask what my balance is, say thank you, hang up the phone and send out what I CAN SEND not what they say they want and I do this until it is completely paid. They wont refuse it regardless of it being a few pennies.

I appreciate the responses from all those serious about what I have posted. Somehow I'm glad that the revenue share program here is being taken away.

I know that I always feel pressured by what the company has said I need to pay. My debt is so miniscule but my fiance and I have no job so therefore we don't pay it off. Funnily enough they haven't reached me at my new home. I live with my fiance's parents who are unlisted.
