How trustworthy?

How do you manage your debt settlement services? Are you sure the company you're dealing with is true to their words? Some debt settlement companies try to earn or use some of your money by putting it in a trust fund and making some negotiations with your creditors then pay in a lump sum though they have been taking it from you monthly.

Depends on who you go with. Stay away from anyone with the title "Trustee" as you are looking very close to bankruptcy advisors at this point.

Maybe you just try to be vigilant on your records and always update and keep an eye on everything.

I believe the only person who can really protect your interests effectively is you. Relying too much on a third party will most likely end in more payments and debts.

This happens a lot. but make sure you have good self judgement and this is the best way to make sure a debt settlement is trustworthy.

it is easy to say stay vigilant when irresponsibility got you there in the first place, but yeah. thats a good point.

You have to do your own assignment. You consult and research the best scheme possible to address your debt problem. Relying on a third party to decide for you may not be the best option because the third party concerned has its own interest.
