I still buy conditioner but we use bar soap instead of hand soap or we're just use hand sanitizer or even dish soap which we dilute with a bit of water.

I still use all these products but I buy the cheaper brands and watch for the sales and then try to stock up.There are a lot of two for 1 sales these days for toiletries. Sales like buy shampoo get conditioner free, 5 bars of soap for the price of 4. I have found that dollar stores are a great place to buy some basic toiletries too.

I have been able to purchase a lot of personal products shampoo, conditioner and hand soap free with the use of coupons. I buy All You magazine from Walmart, and they usually have over $30.00 dollars worth of coupons.  For two months in a row, they had coupons for $1.00 on soft soap, and the product can be bought at Walmart for .97.  Final cost is free.  I have found other coupons like this either online or in the Sunday papers.  I have enough to last me for approximately six months. I will not go without conditioner though.  To many snarls and blow away hair without it and static electricity.... I think making my own shampoo/conditioner would be a great idea afterall I am already making my own laundry soap.  Any savings is a BIG savings.
