Do you really need a car as nice as that? Check your operating costs of your auto, gas, insurance, taxes, maintainance, the lot. Cut them down by selling your existing auto for a cheaper one, or just sell it and go public transport if you can. How much would you save?

like the idea of the treat, too - that way you don't feel too much underfoot and can at least let loose in a limited manner - rather than feel so bad you just blow it because you need a release.

I haven't seen a dollar store in forever! They were everywhere and now gone near me. I always enjoyed strolling through them to! Im a horrible impulse buyer so i shop online for grocery now and am saving alot of money then being tempted by unnecessary junk at the store.

I like what you said parrot but I went even further and got rid of all my credit cards what I have for emergencies is a prepaid visa debit card. For normal purchases I use my regular debit card or good old fashioned cash.

Try using only one credit card and limit your use of that as well. Instead of buying a brand new car why not buy a used car instead. And most of all limit your shopping expenses :D

You only live once, and while I agree that being in debt sucks it also sucks to not enjoy your life to the fullest. I would rather be in debt than take a bus anywhere.

I would go for it if it is my dream car and if I can afford the monthly amortization. It is also a form of reward for myself for working hard and a motivation for me to work harder.

I agree you only live once. Why not buy a new car, but not every two years. I know someone that buys a new car every two years and he is always crying broke.

My advice, if you want to buy a new car. Please make sure you can pay all the payment in one year. If not, better you take used car than buy a new car. If you buy house. If you not buy in cash, better you buy for less than 5 years. If you cannot do that. Better you never buy a house. So, the solution is from you. You need to have target if you want to buy something first. That can make you out of debt.
