It's really tempting to have more than one credit card but a friend helped me see the disadvantages of this. He showed me his credit card bills. The thought of being tied up to debts made me refuse credit card offers that came my way.

I screen my calls via caller ID so I don't really answer telemarketing phone calls more than I have to :)  However, I do get credit card offers in the mail on a regular basis... sometimes 2 or 3 in the same week.  Quite frankly, I don't even open them.  I recycle the paper.  I have the credits cards that I chose to apply for and those are adequate for me.

No way.  I'd be in a deeper hole than I am now if I were to accept every credit card that came my way.  Nowadays, I just toss them out without even looking at them.

No.  I choose whatever credit card I have.  And if you accumulate credit cardsm only thew rist year annual fee is waived so youll be left with a lot of annual fees to pay after the first year.

No, because most of the times those credit cards are the ones with high interest. I would rather inquire all the banks first on which one can offer the best deal before i sign up.

I don't accept all credit cards even it was given with freebies like free annual membership fee or free supplementary cards. I really don't want to have piles of bills and tons of dues to be paid.
