Let me tell you...it really adds up. Ever since hubby and I have been together, we have saved all of our coins and it really does add up fast.  Every couple of months, we would roll it up and put it right in our savings account. Now, we are doing it for our daughter and its definitely better than having to worry about transferring money to her account every pay day. With the change we can just throw it in there every day, and at the end of each quarter we roll it and deposit it to her little-savers account.

I think I will just keep on collecting mine and wait a few years before cashing it in! It does add up over time!

Yes I save my change.  I don't always use it to put in savings as was my original plan, sometimes I use it to pay small bills, water or put gas in the car.

I do that too.  We take all our spare change and collect it in a plastic jug.  When full we take it to the bank and deposit 1/2 in the kids accounts and 1/2 I give them to spend.  It's amazing how quick it adds up.

Wow, I like this idea.  Instead of using it for small purchases, i'll drop the loose change (coins) only in a jar.  I'll start doing this tomorrow and I'll update you guys my savings.  Hmmm maybe I'll use the savings for future trips...or downpayment for my new car hehehehe.

nice one there.. a penny is maybe useless nowadays but if you gonna save 2 or 3 a day, it will be useful after a month..

It's amazing how quickly coins can add up.I have a coffee can that I throw my change into and when it gets full I take it to the bank and deposit it into my chequing account to pay some of my bills.
