I am not quite sure what you mean by this question but if I am correct you are asking if people are still using a mortgage to buy a house. I am not sure of this myself but I would almost assume that people still are doing so.

Currently I neither rent a home or have a mortgage on a house.  I live with a member of my family.  My goal is to buy a house.  I first will have to rent a home, save money and then purchase a house.  My goal is to save a large sum of money, so I can get a smaller mortgage from the bank.  If at all possible, I would love to pay cash for my home.  I know it's possible to pay cash, but it depends on thrifty I can be within the next five years.

Yes, I do not have enough money to do it any other way. The loan helps to buy an expensive item.

For me, I don't want buy house use mortgage. Although I still rented house, I will buy house with own money.  I don't know about the other people still used its or not.
