I would only be happy lending them if they were close relatives and if I trusted that they would pay the money back. I would lend to my parents any amount of money at any time at all but with other relatives Id be wary. If I did lend and they did not pay me back for a long time I would never lend again

There is no problem with me lending my relatives if i have extra savings but as most of my savings is intended for some emergencies i always make sure lending them to others if they have good credibility.  The problem when lending relatives is that you have difficulties on asking them to pay you and sometimes there are relatives that don't mind paying you on the agreed date so that is why it is important to see if they have good credibility. However, i don't have problem lending them if i can see its for emergency use as it is good to help. Besides when you are in need to, they are still the one you will be running or ask to help you. So helping each other is always good.

I have one brother that I loan money to sometimes that I am never sure when or if I am going to be getting it back from him.  I have even loaned him money that I really cannot afford to loan him.  I wish I knew how to say no when it comes to loaning money.

Well certainly i'll lend money to my relatives if they're very close ones.

Sometimes if they really do pay but if they don't I won't lend them anymore. And I would just lend certain amount.

in my opinion, if he is an relative of integrity, then i should lend money to him, you see, anyone would have his poor time, so why not help each other?

I don't loan money to relatives.  It leads to too many bad feelings if there are misunderstandings and the relative doesn't return the money when expected to.I'd rather treat it as a gift, not a loan.  If they would like to repay me, that's fine, but I certainly don't expect anything in return.  I'm happy being able to help someone who really needs it, and I'd like to think that maybe they'll be willing to return the favor if I ever need help like that some day.

I would try not, but if it is really close relative, i might consider. But the point is, how much can i lend them? i dont want to end up in debt later on.
