Lots of people are earning from the net....many earn huge amounts of money from good sites like this, ptc sites and also for other jobs such as creating websites or building webpages, or programming, for which they're paid online....are these earnings liable to be taxed by government?

Any income earned by you, which adds up to more than a particular amount is taxable in our country (India)

I think it does. When I opened a bank account link to my Paypal account, they ask me my tax identification number.

If they are subject to tax then under what rules are they subjected to regarding tax collection? Ans what is the method of collection? Is it to be paid along with the normal income tax?

Im not sure about the details but earning it self i think is not taxable but if you transfer it to a bank or link it thats the time it is taxed.

i think its not taxed here in our country. but if you want to cash it out..then the tax begins when the bank asks for payment per cash out.

Stupid question but, if you don't tell anyone you have a job online then can't you escape the taxes? I mean, the government doesn't scan oyur bank account everyday right? Hehe.
