If you are talking about food shopping it depends how many days you need to buy food for and how many people. Food is just so expensive and every week I try and limit my spending but I fail miserably. But if you only take a set amount of money this does help.

Well my fiance and I don't spend that much money as is so we take all of the money we don't have saved and know that we aren't going to spend that much anyway. No set amount do we take, but then again when we go we are usually aware of how much it's going to cost us.

when it's a casual trip to the mall, i don't feel too guilty about spending up to 10dollars. for gifts to other people, about 20dollars. for major items like winter boots or jackets (which are necessary), my maximum is 100dollars but i prefer to spend just 50dollars.

It depends on what you are shopping for. I have a budget of $400 per month for groceries and personal items - when the money is gone, it's gone.

My spending limit when I go shopping is usually around $40-60. Usually I look for sales, however sometimes I can't really buy things that are cheap due to needing work clothes and stuff.

Well depends. I dont go shopping very often anymore so if i go, i limit myself to $100. Now i go grocery shopping every 2 weeks & spend between $150 & $200.

When I go shopping, the limit actually depends on the things that I need to buy. Usually though, $30 is enough for me to buy a pair of pants and maybe two shirts.

I dont buy signature stuffs for now.. I need to tighten my belt to survive during this recession.. So my limit is around 1,000php or $20 US

I looooooooove shopping not just for myself but for my wife & my son also. It depends how much money I've :p But if there is sale then it's hard for me to control myself. Because of recession & tight budget I've almost stopped shopping. I only go for shopping if it's necessary.

I usually stick to my budgert...whatever the plan to buy or whatever is on the list, thats the only item/items to buy. I strictly adhere to the budget. So the budget would depend on the planned items to buy
