Posted on April 2, 2009 at 10:52 am Today, I was watching CSpan T V channel and they were arguing an ammendment to the budget that would include free health care/prescription coverage for certain portions of the US population.  This cost will be borne by everyone in the country (US),  even if they are not receiving the free health care for themselves.  Do you think it's a good idea for a government to provide free health care for all? And, since there is no such thing as free, should the government require the citizens to pay for the "free" health care through higher taxxes?  Isn't that just taking money out of one pocket and putting it into another?  The same people that need free health care don't have spare money to pay for higher taxxes.  What do you think?

Posted on April 2, 2009 at 10:56 am In a perfect world everyone would have free healthcare, but unless doctors and nurses start working for free I don't see it happening in the US.  I don't think medical procedures should cost as much as they do either.  If things were not so expensive then more people could afford their own healthcare.

Posted on April 3, 2009 at 1:39 am I think it's true, nothing is ever free. Should we get free healthcare? yes, should we be taxed up the bazoodle for it? No. I wish that the government could find a way to offer free health care without taxes, if your taxing us we don't save.

Posted on April 3, 2009 at 5:22 am I think government should offer free health check up on regular basis and start treating their patients at a reasonable rates and even free if someone doesn't afford to pay the price for that.

Posted on April 3, 2009 at 5:52 am I feel that the government should provide free healthcare for only those who come below poverty line. there are many schemes which cover health expenditure . Employers provide these facilities to their staff, so there is no need to provide free health care for every body..

Posted on April 3, 2009 at 5:56 am I think the governmnets decision is right upto a maximum extent but collecting money by increasing tax and laying a burden on common people in exchange to help common people is not correct. The cause is abolutely needed to be done but the source is not worthy. Government should find another way to help needy people.

Posted on April 3, 2009 at 6:04 am Having a free health care (from paying high taxes) is fine as long it will benefit everybody. My country imposed of high taxes but the citizens here doesn't really benefit anything from our government. Our country the Philippines is renowned as one of the most corrupt countries in the world.
