I guess so. some people never borrow money easily from others or try to avoid this; but there are some addictives , it's been a habit even they themselves have it.

I cannot think of a reason why would want be a addictive. Unless the person is extremely rich and doesnt mind having that FEELING.

no one like to be in debt, it put you a lot of stress and pressure to find those money and clear your debt, however when some people got out of their debt, they still end up in debt like gambler or people who like to spend a lot of money using credit card.

Nobody like to be a debtor and the situation makes them to be. But the people who don't have any control over their desire, are becoming addict to the debt

I dont think being in debt is addictive, it's shopping, gambling and vices that becomes addictive, which is the culprit for debts.

People can become spend-thrifts...they may go on shopping spree...but I don't think they become addicted to being in debt

Personally, I feel like my reputation is tarnished when i have debts so i make sure i pay them back immediately. I don't like the feeling of having debts. It's like a "binding" feeling.

I believe that people are more addicted to "shopping" than being in debt.  A lot of individuals like to gamble.  Gambling for some can become addictive, which can create a lot of debt.  Some individuals are "compulsive shoppers" they get a "thrill" out of buying products.  They get the items home and never wear them.  It's the thrill they get when they actually purchase the product.  I would imagine to them it gives them a sense of "control" yet it is an addiction.  Addictions can cause people to get in debt and make it harder to pay bills.  It doesn't mean that "debt" itself is the addiction...it's the behavior they exhibit that creates the debt.  And by no way am I saying that people who are in debt, have addictive behaviors, that would be a generalization...and we know some individuals get thrown into debt in other ways than addictive personalities.
