The best policy to avid / reduce debts will be to live within your means. You should not envy others for their richness and try to emulate them. Be sincere and practical.

You will get bad mood if you only envy the rich. Everyone has its own life. Money will not give you everything. so cherish what you are having and work hard to make your life better.

I think this is very imporant to live witin your means. I wrote a article awhile ago about this online and I thought it would be okay to share it here on this thread. Take a look if you are unsure about living within your means. Thanks and take care :) http://www.bukisa.com/articles/37148_living-within-your-means-today-and-for-the-future

We should know our capacity and our limits all the time.

i believe in this one, stay within your needs not your wants to stay out of debts. Be practical in spending money, since you'll never know when you'll be needing it the most.

This is good advice but so many people fail to follow it. They see fancy sport cars and must have them. The only way they can get them is a bank loan so there goes more debt.

some say not to just live within your means but also live BELOW your means. I think the latter is more effective for most of us.
