There are prepaid cards that are kind of like gift cards. They come with a certain amount of money on them and you can use that much and only that much and you can't go over the limit.

What type of prepaid card is it? Is it a prepaid minute card or a prepaid card that's similar to a credit card/gift card. If it is like a prepaid credit card then basically there's a certain amount on the card that can be used and once that money runs out you can't add more. There's such thing as prepaid credit cards like the greendot, where you put a predetermined amount of money on the card and then use it like a regular credit card. After it's been used up you just go to a place that sells those greendot cards (like a radioshack or wal-mart) and refill the amount.

I would rather use debit card as I have one. You can pay by card without interests like credit cards because your purchases are debited automatically from your bank account.

Prepaid cards are basically cards that you add money to them and then you can utilize them as regular cards.
