Here's an idea that works for me. Before you purchase a product online check to see if there's an online coupon available for the item.  Most times, you can find free online coupons for every major department store online, including Kmart, Sears, Target, etc.  For instance, I just signed up for Kmart's email newsletter and they emailed me two five dollar off coupons (one for use online and one for use in-store).  For maximum savings, use these coupons for clearance items or on free shipping deals for maximum savings. Just enter the name of the online store or product into the search engines along with the word 'online coupon' and you'll find a wealth of savings. Do you have any special ways to save money when shopping online?

That's super! Lots of smart shoppers are comparing prices online and using online coupons.  I think online shopping is a good thing for the economy and saving gas.  Many times you can have items delivered free or low cost.

You can almost always find a coupon code online for what you're ordering. One of my favorite sites to find these coupons is www.retailmenot.com

I always search for discount codes/coupons online before placing an order.  I can usually find a code to save $$ and also get free shipping to have it delivered to my front door!  Also, some places have the lowest price guarantee and will beat an online competitor for even bigger savings!

I also use www.mysimon.com to find the best price of an item.

Thanks Jenn! I'm going to check that out.  I've been there once, but didn't have time to look around. I love a good bargain!

I usually end up just using amazon.com where you can find used items for cheap and in excellent condition. Of course the condition of the item varies and if it's not in the condition it said it was to be in you can always send it back. They even have groceries now! '
