In the present contest, due to high level of deceases and level of expenditure to be paid to hospitals, it is must to take health insurance to safe guard oneself and the family members.  I feel that health insurance is not only helpful now and saving tax also.  Hence it is  a must for one to take a health insurance urgently.

Health insurance IS very important but unfortunately right now I simply cannot afford it. It bit me in the butt last year and I ended up with hospital bills I'm still now paying off. I cannot wait until my fiancee and I are married this summer and I can be put on his health insurance.

Yes health insurance is very important especially in times of emergency, you don't need to give a downpayment in the hospital before being admitted.

Health insurance is definitely a good thing to be taken especially for family with old age persons as the need could be arised unexpectedly to use it. But then it again depends on your earnings and my earnings currently are very less so I cant even think of any kind of insurance.

Since I sell health insurance let me make this point: Shop before you buy a policy. We represent several companies and as you might expect both the premium and coverage differ. You get to pick and choose what you want covered and you pay accordingly. I am speaking about major medical (catastrophic if you will) coverage. On the other hand, we also sell Guaranteed Issue Health Insurance. This is non major medical insurance and anyone who signs up is guaranteed to be covered. Pre-existing conditions are generally not covered by either major medical or guaranteed issue health insurance. However, if you have a letter of creditable coverage, pre-exisitng conditions can be covered. It is a bit complicated so be sure to ask your agent to explain each and every detail.

Yes, it is true that it is a good idea to invest in a health insurance, but you have to be sure that you are investing in an insurance company that is not "fly-by-night." My mom is an insurance agent. She has this lucky client who was able to use the health insurance 2 weeks after purchasing it (Not really lucky coz she got sick. LOL!). She's lucky in a sense that she was confined in the hospital and did not pay even a single cent. At the time that she was hospitalized she has no money. She was just so thankful that she had the health card.
