bhatt - it helps to know where you live. If you live in the U.S., homeowner's insurance is mandatory if you are financing the home. Otherwise it is optional.

I am only renting right now, but even I have renters insurance. I think it's really important, you never know what might happen.

it's deffinetley woth getting your house insured, bad things happen in this world and we have to be prepared for it, i dont know if you can get a package of not it depends on the company you get the insurance from i reccomend trade direct insurance

I feel like if you can afford the cost ,then you should get it. I was living in a rented house once and it caught fire and I lost many things and got nothing cause the landlord only had insurance for them and not the renter.

Getting your house insured is a good idea if you have very high valued items at home and you cannot afford to take risk but if the valuation of the items is less then it will become more of a burden with regular installments for you.

hi it is a wise decision for insuring the non life things. there are many non life insurer. like general insurance of india. they insure the house and properties. they have a large nos of product.
