I can’t think that avoiding debt at any cost is smart either if it means depleting your cash reserves for emergencies. Normally it is a challenge to us to judge which debt makes sense and which does not. Another challenge for us to wisely managing the money we do borrow.What is your view?

If one can avoid debt than they should avoid it at all costs. Once the dam is broken the water will keep on flowing until the whole city is flooded. So, basically what I mean to say is that once you fall in debt that it will keep on growing with the interest and everything that sooner or later your bank account will be depleted.

You are certainly right as I know one of my friend at first borrowed about BDT. 30000 at high rate of interest from a local lender. As I know the rate was 10% per month and his current loan is aroung BDT. 300000 after two years. As you said, A flood going over him.

Maybe we can avoid debt at any cost when we do have a self discipline and knows how to manage money. Avoid buying those unnecessary things and just save more.

If I had my choice, I would never go into debt again! I will try not to acquire more debt or credit cards. But with that being said, I know that debt is often unavoidable for daily life. I won't spend credit cards on daily expenses, but it might be needed for school loans or expenses.

Wishing you beautyqueen so that you can go as your expectation and all of us should try not go with more debt or credit cards. It is also true that some of unexpected critical time we need some loan or credit cards but I also not wish to spend my daily or monthly expensens from my credit card.

My ultimate goal is to own my own property, free and clear without mortgage. Is such a thing possible? My heart tells me that this dream can come true. I must work very hard to make money and save money as best as possible. But, I can find my way to my dream. Thanks for your positive comments.
