Here's a scary and sad statistic that I learned today: This year, over 2,000,000 American families will lose their home due to foreclosure. I was watching CSpan and heard about this. Isn't that sad? How did the government let this happen? How can Americans forgo foreclosure and avoid losing their homes?

where are they going to live in if they lose their homes?I thought they have already roll out a stimulus plan so why are people still losing their homes?why is the government not doing anything to help in times like these?

Yes, it's a dreadful shame because for most people this is their only investment. They should be more stringent when they lend people money.

It's really sad. I'm always seeing articles about a family losing their home in the papers. Thankfully no one I personally know is in that situation.

Thanks to everyone for your comments. And, to Ruthep: I'm glad you mentioned that you can keep your house with some types of bankruptsy, cause not many people know it. Well, I will use this info if I'm ever in a situation of losing a home to foreclosure! Thanks for that info.
