I've heard about some of these types of jobs. Some people even run freelance secretarial services online. There's a certification for online administrative assistant. So it's a valid profession. Thanks for sharing.

I think another thing they hire for is email responding. Buisness people get alt of emails and so they hire someone to answer them. Saving them time for other things.

that's not advisable coz it's very risky to trust some company informations from someone you don't even know.. it can result to identity theft..

That is interesting jobs available online. I once used to work as a secretary and wish to offer myself to work as a secretary online.  I wonder how that differs from the real world secretary.  Anybody can provide me the link so I check it out.  Just send it through message.

I think anything that offer online job will not be a promising job.  It a short term kind of thing.

There are many ways to earn online. I do some many things to earn online and I have thought about doing as such to generate some extra income myself. Recently I decided to offer my ebay services to people that live near me locally. I know how to sell on ebay so I thought for a fee I will post online for others and try to help others make some money while helping myself. I have not gotten any emails about it yet but I hope that someone in my area could use my help. So thanks for sharing this and have a great day.

Before getting involved in any type of job do some research beforehand because you can pay a fee and then find out that it is a scam. This happened to me this week were i saw an ad on craiglist that they needed online typists and data entry workers  and it was no typing job at all!

I want so badly to find a good paying work-at-home job so I can spend more time with my daughter and when my husband and I are ready to have another I won't have to worry about working outside of the home. Are you already part of an online secretary agency? Can you share the site?

Virtual assistants are recognized professionals these days.  However, be forewarned that they are not simply "typists"... in fact, VA's spend their time doing a lot more than word processing or setting up appointments.  They generally have skills in many areas that may include web design, translation, marketing, etc.  They need to be very well outfitted in terms of equipment (and, as independent contractors or self-employed individuals, they are responsible for acquiring these things themselves)  They have a professional home office space, away from any distractions, interruptions or even just noise from family members (this is critical from most clients' perspectives).  In addition to high-speed internet connections, VA's are almost always required to have dedicated land line phones (not just VOIP or other internet methods of communication) and sometimes dedicated fax lines, as well.  As a VA, you can expect to put in long (often weird) hours, work weekends and holidays and more or less be at the beck and call of your clients (who may not operate in your local timezone).  I'm not saying it's not very rewarding work... it's just that there are many elements that people should understand up front :)I hope I'm permitted to post the URL to this piece I found at Entrepreneur.com.  It explains a bit about what a VA is and how some people have started their own business in this field.  Hope it gives you a start on doing some research!  :)  There is a wealth of it out there once you start looking -- including certifications you can obtain and associations you can join, if you are interested in that route.http://www.entrepreneur.com/startingabusiness/businessideas/article71516.htmlBest of luck!   P.S. The url is to an article that explains the VA business so it is allowed. It isnot a referral link and if you decide to read it, it is informative. Moderator
