Because of the stock market going real down these days, do you have any suggestions on how to save money one by one? I have seen posts like this that became very successful, so maybe we should try it out too. Maybe I should just start off myself.Solution1. A tip for saving money is to avoid brand names. That simple. Brand names are always inflating the prices of their products. A pair of shoes originally cost probably somewhere between 5 to 10 dollars. Because of the Nike or other maybe company's brand printed on them, they rise to 100 or even 150 dollars. I think to avoid brand names is a good idea. Search for quality and not for brands.2. Save money for second handed items. Flea Markets or Garage sales usually both have good items even though they are second hand. Best of all, they are usually extremely cheap too. A book usually cost around 6 to 10 dollars, but at a garage sale or flea market, a book's price can decrease even to 50 cents or less! To save money on buying second handed items would surely save you a lot of money. Just make sure you check the product before buying a new one. What do you guys say? Suggest a way or two to save money too!

Actually, for Tip#1, if you really like branded shoes, buy them at warehouse sales. They are generally 20%-40% cheaper than at retail stores.

Ebay is another good site for finding great deals on name brand items. I purchased a (practically) brand new camcorder for just under $90 a couple years ago. At full cost, it would have been almost $400. And, I know that because the Ebay camcorder was a replacement for an identical camera that I had paid $400 for!

Yea, Ebay is just like a flea market or a garage sale. Things there are usually very cheap. Another great site is Amazon. You can buy things on there too (new). They usually have a good discount.

I definitely have to agree with "buy for quality" and not the name brand. Name brand products are merely brands with inflated prices. The cost to make name brand clothing doesn't cost anymore than brands without names or lesser known brands. Clothes have a 100% mark up. And it's evident when you go to a year end clearance sale and see discounts of 75% or more. The stores are still making a profit off from that product. Also, as a teenager, I bought exspensive name brand clothing and the quality was poor. Seams would rip and zippers would break. Definitely quality over name brand is the best route...and you can even find quality clothing at Walmart.

For everyday wear clothing, I don't spend a fortune, but I do like to buy quality clothes. Not name brands, but definitely quality. And, I don't try to follow fashion trends as they are more appropriate for teenagers.

Also, I usually only spend money on food. Nothing else much.

These days, I don't have much money left over for anything but the basics, rent, food, insurance, et.c I would love to buy some more clothes for daily use, but right now I'm making good with the ones I have now. I just try to make sure nothing gets ruined so it doesn't have to be replaced.
